BEATING AND EATING THE LONG-LIVED EVIL ENTITY IN THE BASEMENT

It's been a while since I've written an article, which is a shame since I still have quite a backlog of experiences to present. This one strays back into the realm of aura magick, which I intend to begin creating guides for soon as well.

This particular incident took place in late 2021, but it had been in the works since the 1970s (well before I was born). An old family home deep in the mountains had come with an unexpected inhabitant when they bought it in the 70s--a poltergeist or demon or I'm not even sure what to classify it as, but it had terrorized the family on and off for years. It would turn on the water in the bathroom on its own, cause blood to pour from the sink instead of water, make clocks run backwards... so many people in the family had encountered some sort of impact from it that it was just one of those unspoken open secret type things that the house was fucking haunted in a bad way. It had appeared to my cousin (who can apparently just casually communicate with spirits from birth, whatever) as a little girl who claimed to have died there, but there had never been any children by that name or any that died there since the home was built and it appeared in a different form to others and would physically harm them or attempt to. Still, this showed a sort of base-level intelligence to it, back then at least, to play such a ruse.

Most of the things I mentioned it doing were before my own time (obviously--I can't be in my 30s now and have been around in the 70s and 80s), but I'd experienced it too in my time there, in the form of bad vibes, bizarre nightmares and the Windows 95 tower turning itself on and playing weird noises and errors all night while untouched (it wouldn't do it during the day, like with the water in the bathroom--and would always be timed to scare me out of my skin when I'd be almost asleep). I think this would have actually been my first encounter with the paranormal, though I don't think I was given the backstory about the entity and the house until a bit later (after the entity from Greece incident, which is another article I need to write, albeit a short one). I guess it's tied for the house across the street from this one, which my cousins and I would always watch shadows moving in and lights turning on and off despite being empty, but that was less direct still, I suppose.

As you could probably guess my family has a sort of a sixth sense built-in/passed-down, presumably from my illegitimate great grandfather who I would later learn was a famous psychic under a pseudonym after he vanished from the mountains, but anyway--even on visits where there was no direct activity, my immediate family would be in a hurry to leave because they'd feel the thing's presence and that general aura of evil and fear permeating the place. This pertained for most of my life, and I even avoided spending the night there most of the time.

Fast forward to 2021. One day when we trekked out there, I decided that I'd had enough of dealing with this thing's shit and went around the house using the technique I call "aura bomb" to totally reset the energy in the space and replace it all with my own energy. I didn't explain it to anybody or advertise I'd done it, but upon subsequent visits, my family would remark how the evil energy they'd used to feel there was gone and how it all felt very peaceful and safe now (score one for the magician!). I could feel, though, that it had not been entirely eliminated--there was still a faint undercurrent of its energy when I would scan deep enough, though each room felt entirely "cleansed." It was when I went to grab something from the extra fridge in the basement the next visit or two out that I remembered, oh yeah, dipshit, this house has a basement, and you never aura bombed it.

Stepping down there was walking face first into the most palpably thick-with-otherworldly-dark-energy space I've ever encountered. It was undoubtedly that same unsettling metaphorical thread that had wound around the whole house once and now only lingered, but here it was like somebody had grabbed the evil-amp and jacked it up to 12 (that's even higher than 11!). Here's a picture taken right before the fight, for picturing the atmosphere:

And yet, for the first time, I didn't feel the slightest bit of concern or fear--in fact, I grinned as I closed the door behind me. It was just me and that thing, and I could tell that even in concentrated form I had surpassed it. It wasn't immediately jumping me, either--it could sense it was outmatched. I had become, to the thing that had psychically terrorized my family for generations, the "bigger fish." And I'm not gonna lie to ya--it felt fucking good.

I stepped deeper and deeper into the thing's makeshift lair, where I'd chased it from the rest of the home successfully. It wasn't happy with me for that… but it was just staying back and observing, for now. I couldn't "see" it, aside from a rough outline from aura scanning, but I could connect to it and intuit that much. It was using caution; it was waiting for an opening. So, of course, I gave it one. I dropped my shields around my left arm entirely and opened my aura to it.

Unsurprisingly, it quite literally leapt at the opportunity. I could sense countless phantom hands reaching out from the thing as it dropped its own barriers--it was some sort of abomination made of other spirits or spirit parts stuck together in a reactive etheric clusterfuck of a malicious entity. Its arms started to wrap around my left hand and wrist, and I could feel it start creeping up my arm, trying to reach further and higher, desperately trying to possess my body. The prickling sensation and loss of etheric clarity where it began attaching itself was downright physical--one of the wildest sensations I've ever had the fortune to experience. Once it was fully latched on, I activated a fixed-location aura bomb in my left and right arms simultaneously, spinning different directions to form a sort of energy blender. I could feel it "shriek" and soon I wasn't just tearing it into tiny little etheric pieces, I was absorbing and purifying them to increase my own aura and power.

It was done. The thing’s energy signature was completely gone from my etheric body, and, more importantly, from the basement. I also felt the boost from absorbing it, immensely–it was my first time attempting such a thing from a defeated entity, and I was honestly a bit chuffed that it had even worked. It was kind of a blast, no pun intended, tangling with it–wildly empowering both psychologically and psychically speaking, and something about combat with just energy-fighting against an extradimensional creature is just so goddamn satisfying. I haven't had the chance to do it again since, though I’m always putting it out there to folks that if they have any spooky inhabitants that prove dangerous or malicious, I’m always happy to drop by for a quick close-combat.
